Kolkata must be hugely disappointed Shahrukh was stopped in the states. We shouldn't stand for this it's out of order
nshah (21 Apr 2009):
Come on Ganguly! You've got a lot of doubters to prove wrong and not for the first time.
teej101 (20 Apr 2009):
Where was Ganguly the Hero?
Ganguly was a bit of a let down yesterday. The team needed a hero, and they didn't get one. What they got instead was far from it.
nshah (19 Apr 2009):
It was revealed a couple of days ago that McCullum will take over the captaincy of Kolkata this year. ShahRukh has decided to give Buchanan everything he wants and clearly there must be some issues between the eccentric Australian and the one and only Sourav. I think Ganguly will save all his talking for the pitch tonight. He's a man who excels under adversity.

Kolkata, owned by ShahRukh Khan, coached by John Buchanan and captained by the icon Sourav Ganguly (and maybe others) are a team of personalities. The team started with a bang last year, but wilted in the latter stages of the tournament. There have been all sorts of controversies in the build up to the start of IPL 2009, including John Buchanan's new masterplan of multiple captains, ShahRukh Khan's public attack on India's finest Sunny Gavaskar and Sourav's public admissions of not knowing what anybody's talking about. Unless everybody starts working together, another low finish looks on the cards. Still, there's always the possibility of ShahRuhk taking his top off, even if the chances of Sourav baring himself again seem slim. Key personnel include Ishant Sharma and the firecracker Brendon McCullum.
